Mid Month Inspiration for Challenge #2

Hi Everyone,

Saumya here from The Twisted Challenges Team with her mid month project. Am hoping you have seen my two talented team mates Neha and Tejal's inspiration in the previous weeks, if not then do click on their names and it will direct you to their inspirations. 

I have been wanting to try my hands on miniatures and so thought let me give it a try.

I love getting drenched in rains and I do carry my coffee mug outdoors and sit in a park enjoying my sips ....and books are definitely my love of life other than crafting...so I put all of these elements together for my project. 

The girl is a stamped imaged coloured with zig markers and fussy cut to suit the design. The backdrop is pattern paper with clouds. I have also added two layers of vellum clouds to give depth and dimensions. I added some succulents and double layer of grass, and some art stones to create my outdoor park environment and some books and a mini coffee mug charm.  

 The rain drops have been created with the help of various sizes of  clear dew drops.

Mid month Inspiration for Challenge #2

Hello everyone,
 This is Tejal here today, to share another inspiration project with you.

Have you checked out Neha's amazing doodled cards last week. I love how she created rain with coffee beans..rains and coffee all in one..do check it out..

For my inspiration, I went with another window card but with my favorite memories that go with rains. I love sitting at the window, watching raindrops glide down the glass pane and create droplets on the glass. The next best thing with it, is a good book and a hot cup of coffee.
So all those feelings translated into this card.

 I have used some of my favorite stamps from My Favorite things to create my scene.

 This is the inside of the card. Some copic coloring and fussy cutting to crrate this scene.

This is what I loved about this whole card, the amazing real looking rain drops. i used a transparency to create the window and added glossy accents to create my faux raindrops. Let them dry overnight and they dry clear.

Mid Month Inspiration TTC#2 - Doodled masked cards

Hi Friends,

This is Dr. Neha Sanwalka Rungta here. I hope you are having fun creating projects on TTC#2 theme "Coffee/Tea + Rains".  I have created 2 fun cards for mid-month inspiration for you all.

TTC#2: Coffee+Rains

TTC#2: Coffee+Rains

• On a 300 gsm A5 size Brustro Artists' watercolor paper I drew some umbrellas free-hand and applied masking fluid on them.  
• Once the masking fluid was dry, I applied Ranger Distress Inks Rusty Hinge, Brushed Corduroy & Vintage Photo using blending tool and spritz it water. Once dry, I removed the masking fluid.
• I doodled designs on umbrella and colored the handles using pencil colors. 
• I then doodled coffee beans using black Sakura Micron and added shading to them using white charcoal pencil. 
• I cut and scored white card stock to create 4 1/4 by 5 1/2" side folding card stock and colored the edges using Olive Green Chameleon (OL3) marker.
• I trimmed the umbrella card panel to create two 4 by 5 1/4" panels, inked the edges with Black Soot Distress ink and adhered them on card base.
• I finished the cards by adhering sentiments (I broke sentiments on both cards in half, wherein I stenciled 1st half on card strip and adhered on the card front & I stenciled the other half inside the panel.)
