Product List:

  • A4 size MDF
  • Gesso
  • Itsy Bitsy 2 in 1 Texture paste
  • Penny Black Hynotic Stencil
  • Carabelle Studio Balloon Flowers Stencil

  • Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst: The Mojito Green
  • Ranger Dylusions Paint: Squeezed Orange
  • Flower buds
  • Pearls
  • iCraft MDF quote
  • Paint brush, palette knife, heat tool, water mister, floral wire, floral tape, glue
Steps to create:
  • Apply 2 coats of Gesso on the MDF base.
  • Using the stencils, apply texture paste on the made base (Balloon Flowers on bottom and Hypnotic on top right corner and left mid) and air dry.
  • Once the texture paste is dry, color the base using spray paints (Order from top to bottom: Ginger Coral, Gilded, Sunshine, Blue Lime & Mojito Green) and dry using heat tool. apply 2 coats of spray colors & use water mister to blend colours if needed.
  • Paint the MDF quote using Dlyusions paint and set aside to dry.
  • Tie 3 flower together around floral wire using floral tape to make bunches of 3 and cut any extra wire.
  • Adhere the flower bunches on the base using glue and separate each bunch from other using white pearls in between successive bunches.
  • Use pearls to cover any empty space between the flower bunches and also adhere a few pearls on the top of the bunches.
  • Complete the layout by adhering the painted quote to the layout.
I hope you liked this simple and quick to do mixed media layout and are inspired to join our challenge: Color Palette + Use Element in Multiples of 3. Last date of participating in the challenge is 31st December.
